As I sat eating a picnic under an overcast sky I wondered how to make an effective image of this rock and its sculptured quality. The cloud began to break up and weak sunlight began to sidelight it revealing its fabulous colour.

I wasted no time setting up this composition of it juxtaposed with Looe Island in the distance and added a polariser and ND filter to add definition to the sky and slow down the movement of the sea.
