It wasn't too hard a slog walking up to this hill top for this view being used to a bit of fell walking and being easily accessible for determined visitors meant this hill top was a popular place. Not wanting to set up amongst the never ending trail of snappers and wanting to get out of the stiff cold wind I ventured back down and off piste to find a more secluded and sheltered spot below the summit.
It was a September afternoon so the light was never going to be to die for but there was some strong cloud blowing across the scene and broken sunlight. I'm happy I was able to make something of my one and only visit to this famous landmark.
