If you are in Suffolk in summer and like heather, this is the place to visit. Owned and managed by the National Trust it is a wonderful cliff top heathland offering photographic opportunities, a good place for a hike or somewhere nice to just potter about and enjoy a cream tea at the cafe in this photograph.

This photo was taken in the middle of the afternoon in the middle of summer. Usually the light would be far too harsh and contrasty for this kind of image at this time. Fortunately the sun was playing in and out of fast moving cloud and by waiting for the sun to be partially obscured by cloud the harsh light was moderated to good effect.
