I set up for this shot late in the afternoon on a winters day. The sun had been intermittently punching through broken cloud and I was hoping for the last golden rays of sunlight to light up the towers but it wasn't to be. Then I remembered that I had seen floodlights at the base of the towers on previous visits and thought it worth braving the icy winds for a while to see if the lights would come on.
With the camera firmly mounted on a tripod amongst the rocks I made this thirty second twilight exposure of the floodlit towers. I steadied the tripod from the buffeting wind with one hand pressing it down firmly onto the rocks.
