I was in London visiting an exhibition on this day and I couldn't really take the big camera and all the paraphernalia. Instead I took my trusty panasonic compact and a miniature tripod in my pocket with the hope of making an image if time permitted. The sky was grey and dull but I knew that lighting up time would add some colour and interest.
This was taken from the millennium footbridge with the tripod carefully held against the curved hand rail. I waited for the lights to come on and shot four images which I later stitched together to give a decent sized image from the compacts small sensor.
