Reculver Towers is one of the few places on the north Kent coast line that can be described as photogenic yet I find it deceptively difficult to photograph well. There is a car park close to the base of it precluding lots of angles unless you don't mind a variety of cars, signs and white vans in your landscape images that is.
I timed my visit here mid summer to coincide with the sun rising in this position out to the left of the towers which it does for a few weeks of the year before creeping back inland. Dawn happens early at this time of the year but fortunately for me the perfect conditions made the sacrificed weekend lie in worthwhile. The only thing that I dislike is the green seaweed that covers every rock on this beach. I guess it is what it is.
